Street Level Health Project

Health Partnerships

TRUCHA (HIV Testing)
2nd Wednesdays every month: 1 – 3pm
Languages spoken: Spanish and English

Street Level collaborates with TRUCHA, the HIV testing and education program of La Clínica de la Raza, to offer once-a-month HIV testing to our clients. TRUCHA provides free rapid (20 minute) HIV testing, along with HIV education, information, and risk assessment. Street Level community members are more likely to get tested because it is in a space they already feel comfortable and trust.

Individuals who are HIV+ can get support for the care they need from HIV care to mental health to exercise classes. Street Level can accompany individuals to their health visits, see a counselor, or help make phone calls to providers. Spanish-speaking persons can connect with Bacilio Villa Gomez at (510) 575-4197. Burmese-speaking persons can connect with our partner, Community Health for Asian Americans, (510) 835-2777. Ask to speak with Sean Kirkpatrick.
