Bilingual Employment Specialist
Lidia brings over nine years of experience working with the local community as a parent leader at Manzanita SEED School, as well as a committed volunteer at Oakland Community Organization (OCO) and Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana Hispana de Oakland (PIPH). Lidia’s dedication to community health led her to Street Level Health Project where she facilitated nutrition workshops through her role as Health Community Outreach Coordinator “Coordinadora/ Promotora de la Salud” for Alameda County Public Health Department Nutrition Services Program.
As an Employment Specialist for the Oakland Worker’s Collective, Lidia brings experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to her role at Street Level. Her awareness and attention to the individual needs of workers empowers members to self-advocate and access critical health resources. Lidia enjoys walking, hiking, listening to music, singing, spending time with loved ones and contemplating the nature.
