Jae Maldonado, M.P.A.
Jae Maldonado joined Street Level Health Project in August 2015 as Executive Director. Jae is proud to be a first-generation Ecuadorian, who was shaped by immigrant values. He brings over 14 years of experience specializing in non-profit management and program design and holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration. In 2000, he began his career fundraising at Legal Momentum and New School University. After years in development, Jae shifted to direct service delivery in marginalized communities of Newark New Jersey, where he led family literacy and workforce programs until moving to the Bay Area in 2008.
In San Francisco’s Mission District, Jae has developed intersectional education and workforce programs for low-income Latino families. A committed youth advocate, he has led trauma informed practice, racial and restorative justice, leadership and employment programs at many local organizations. Most recently working to implement equity-centered framework in program development and instructional practices at San Francisco Unified School District.
Jae enjoys fitness, time with loved ones, cooking, alternative forms of healing, and contemplating the revolution.
